here are some excerpts from my correspondance to my homegirls…

12 may:

“…i’ve been MADD premenstrual lately and my body and appetite is just plain whack! i’m craving all the junk food on the planet! snapple iced tea, sour cream and cheddar ruffles chips, deep fried this and that. my stomach is swelling and i feel like a whale. however, i’ve been waiting and waiting but aunt flo aint here yet. what the dill? so, before i continue to get smurfy and get my drink on, i want to be sure that i’m not pregs so i’m going to go buy a home test. i’ll let you know… i ran a mile last week in my new saucony running shoes to take them for a road test. they’re great, but i havent gone running again since…”

13 may:

“…check out the photo i’ve attached… i had to take a pic of the pregnancy tests i took this morning for ya…
2 stripes means i’m pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those are indeed two stripes right??? hahaha

SO WHOOMP THERE IT IS!!!

obviously there’s a chance it may be wrong, so i’m going to take a 3rd test tomorrow for safe measure (the box came with 3 tests) so there’s a chance that i send you an email tomorrow entitled “oooooops false alarm”, but it’s fun to be pregnant for one day!

i’m trying to reserve some excitement for when i know for sure from the doctor but I CAN’T HELP MYSELF!!!!!!”

“…p.s. guys i guess i should have been better to say “i might be pregnant”, since i’m not 100% yet and i don’t want to get everyone excited and find out it’s a false alarm. but you are my girls and i just had to let you know step by step what’s going on with me. i’m still siked! i hope it’s real!!! or else i’ll feel like a big dummy…”

14 may:

“…so i took a third test today and it’s still the same result as yesterday! i’m going to consider it as the official non-official result. i’m anxious to get to a doctor to take a blood test so i can get an o.g. official result!

thank you all so much for the well wishes! i’m so happy to share this experience with you guys… i love that modern technology has allowed us to share so much of our lives with each other despite the distance!…
oh, question: can anyone recommend some good motherhood/pregnancy sites? there’s so much to sift through, i figured i should just ask you guys. why reinvent the wheel???”

i will try to back track to when i first found out i was pregnant and enter each month as a separate post.
